Can the system be installed with current AC coupled inverters?
Yes, the Whispr Series can be installed in parallel with other AC coupled PV Inverters and make full use of their output to charge the battery. During a blackout, the AC Coupled PV Inverters must also go offline. If PV is connected directly to the Whispr then this PV is active during a blackout.
What’s the maximum solar that can be connected?
Up to 200% over run per MPPT (if the voltage and current requirements are followed) is allowed.
Can MPPTs be added to existing PV and AC coupled systems?
MPPT’s or DC coupled PV cannot be connected. The Whispr has three MPPTs built in. To Extend PV beyond what the Whispr is capable of, requires additional AC coupled PV Inverters.
What is the maximum number of PV panels per MPPT input?
This will depend on the panels chosen. it is critical to keep DC voltage below 500V, although most installers will choose to keep this a little lower.
What is the maximum power output from battery to the AC grid?
The Whispr Series can deliver up to 7000W of output power from PV or battery to the AC grid.
