In 2017, our entire operation fit inside a 9-square-metre Kennards Storage unit, guided by a belief that Australians deserve energy storage built specifically for Australian conditions.
- Long before batteries became a trend, our founders were out in regional Australia beginning to understand power is more than a convenience, it’s a lifeline.
- Those early experiences across remote farms, off-grid sheds and in community’s that lived hours apart shaped our understanding of what true reliability means.
From Humble Beginnings to Enduring Innovation
Built on Grit, Driven by Growth
As demand grew, so did we. In 2018, we moved from storage to a modest workspace in Bayswater, expanding to 450m². It was here that our home-grown engineering team began shaping the products that define us.

Brand Inspiration
The environment that shaped our beginnings has stayed with us, inspiring our rust-orange brand colour. More than a design choice, it’s a tribute to our origins; the red earth, the outback tones and the quiet resilience of regional Australia.

Scaling with Purpose
By 2019, our growth led us into a 1,500m² facility, giving us the capacity to scale production while keeping our core values at the forefront, excellence, innovation, responsibility and community.
- In 2021, we expanded again into a 3,000m² site, uniting a growing team of skilled local talent. These were years of transformation, not just in size but in capability.
- We invested deeply in Australian engineering, local manufacturing and the people who make it all possible. That foundation, our heritage continues to guide every decision we make.

Renox is an Australian engineering and technology company based in Queensland, recognised for its patented power conversion and energy management innovations. With expertise in advanced inverter design, AI-enabled energy optimisation and intelligent control systems, the company holds more than 30 patents in power electronics and control technologies.
Our partnership brings together Renox’s engineering capability with PowerPlus Energy’s deep Australian market understanding to develop BESS solutions that respond to installer needs with products such as the Whispr Series. This partnership is built on shared standards, mutual trust and a commitment to creating energy systems people can rely on.
Vessyll
Vessyll is a Minnesota‑based energy storage company known for practical energy storage solutions that bridge the gap between residential and larger utility systems, Vessyll brings hands‑on experience in product development, field testing and market requirements in the U.S. energy storage sector.
Our partnership with Vessyll brings shared experience, insights and technical learnings together with PowerPlus Energy’s engineering and manufacturing knowledge. By working closely with their team, we’re helping bring reliable, tested energy storage solutions and refined manufacturing processes to the American market.
